1月17-29日，应有机地球化学国家重点实验室卢鸿研究员邀请，澳大利亚Curtin University杰出教授、澳大利亚科学院士Kliti Grice访问了广州地球化学研究所。Grice教授做了题为“From Death to Discovery- New insights from molecules in fossils”、“Changes in photosynthetic microbial communities at the Chicxulub crater after the K/Pg extinction”及“Biomarkers and CSIA applications in geochemistry”等三个学术报告，参观了有机地球化学国家重点实验室，重点就分子和生物标志物及其稳定同位素组成与应用、地球生物重大灭绝事件中的有机地球化学表征、石油地球化学中单体烃同位素分析及其应用等前沿领域与相关科研人员、研究生进行了广泛而深入的交流，形成一些初步合作计划。

　　Kliti Grice教授是国际知名的有机地球化学与同位素专家，是地球化学学会及欧洲地球化学联合会国际荣誉会士(International elected Honorary Fellow of the Geochemical Society and European Association of Geochemistry)，澳洲皇家化学研究所会士(Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, RACI)。她于1997年在英国布里斯托大学获博士学位，在荷兰皇家海洋研究所NIOZ从事博士后研究，2006年任Curtin大学化学系教授，2018年当选澳大利亚科学院院士。Grice教授曾获多个奖项，包括：The Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science medal for extraordinary contributions to science and science advocacy; The Gibb Maitland medal from the Geological Society of Australia; The WA Premier’s Inaugural Science Award for Early Career Achievement in Science; The Pieter Schenck Award presented by the European Association of Organic Geochemistry for outstanding early career (<35 years of age) contributions in Organic Geochemistry.

　　Kliti Grice教授主要从事分子和生物标志物及其稳定同位素研究，专长于将有机地球化学分析应用于P/T生物大灭绝、K/T大撞击等地球事件、事件地层学等研究，又对碳酸盐结核也开展了生物标志物方面的开创性工作。共发表论文近200篇，包括Science、Nature、PNAS、Nature Geosciences、Geology、GCA等论文多篇。
